How to change your leadership style to become more successful

12 December 2023

In this case study a leader in business took a MindSonar® assessment in April and again in October. The second assessment was taken to see if there had been any change in leadership style after coaching during the six months between assessments.

Overall, at the beginning of the period, the MindSonar® assessment indicated a person focused on personal growth and self-development, with little drive to win, which could mean their time was spent largely on their own objectives rather than company objectives.  Their thinking style tended to be reflective rather than proactive, meaning that some decisions could take a long time, and along with their tendency to be externally referenced (relying on feedback from others rather than their own judgement) it could mean a lack of drive and dynamism.

At the end of the period, after 6 coaching sessions and support from their coach, this person had changed both their values and thinking styles, and transitioned from a slightly under-confident leader, focussed less on developing the company and more on self-development, to a self-assured, self-reliant and decisive leader, ready to lead the business into the future.

If you’d like to make that transition and become more successful in your business, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
